REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Can't this person disagree with people's message without calling their posts dumb?

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Wed May 25, 2016, 05:52 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Too much talking about the supporters of the candidates and not enough positives about your own.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The comment is snarky and not something I would say, but I don't think it rises to the level of erasing it.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: The alert is the only dumb thing I see..
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Really? An alert was necessary on this? The post was referred to as dumb. It did not attack any individual. Move along.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Silly pro Hillary alert stalking. Bye.

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I don't care about hides any more...unless I get two in close succession. Then an automatic "flagged for review" kicks in, and the promised "24 hours" tends to turn into several days.

And it likely won't matter at all after the primary. That's when a completely different system kicks in...and given Skinner's tone in response to several questions in AtA, the purges will begin. I doubt I'll last long!

Asian-Americans Like Clinton, Don’t Like Trump

A new national survey sponsored by several Asian-American and Pacific Islander advocacy groups shows a recent trend toward affiliation with the Democratic Party, a strong hostility to Trump, and a relatively high level of affection for Hillary Clinton, the most popular in this demographic of the various candidates for president in both parties this cycle.

<snip>

Meanwhile, Clinton's favorability ratio is 62-26, with relatively uniform numbers across national-origin lines. Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, has a favorability ratio of 48-22. The Bern predictably spikes among 18-to-34-year-olds at 75-19, but it's interesting that Clinton's favorability ratio among young Asian-Americans is a not-so-bad 55-32.

and barely had any coverage at all. If you don't know about someone, you probably won't vote for them. Hillary has been in the public eye for decades and has been called the most famous woman in the world. All things considered, Bernie has done very well. It's still a mystery to me why POC dismissed him so readily when much of their misery stems from Clinton administration policies that were supported by Hillary as First Lady.

But yes the thought that the nomination would be snatched from a Democratic nominee who was the one who garnered the votes of a more diverse coalition is astounding. The talk of it is already making lots of Black folks I talk to say it reinforces why they chose Secretary Clinton. Ones who said that they liked Bernie but voted for Hillary now don't even really like Sanders.

That is an outright lie.

He is not going to take anyone's vote away. IF he contests the election, it's because the pledged delegate count is so close, it could go either way, depending on super delegates.

That is not disenfranchising anyone. If you had enough votes to give Hill the nom before the convention, then you would be in like Flynn. But you won't.

And that is because Bernie has inspired so many younger people to engage in this political process, to fight for their futures, that they may actually get a voice against all the older people who are just too rigid to accept necessary change.

Even though he has been fighting a rigged system dealing with Hillary's and Bill's name recognition, and establishment clout with super delegates and the media...he has done so amazingly well, that if he goes to a contested convention and wins, it will be because he deserved to win...because he won against all odds, because enough people were enthused enough to fight for him...not because he shut down anyone's votes.

are we being told that disenfranchising white voters (who we're told whites are for Bernie) is somehow okay? Not to mention if states such as Hawaii are any indicator then the Asian community also seems to support Bernie, as does the Native American community, have they been de-colorized?

I find such racial divisiveness disturbing and ultimately self defeating for the Democratic Party
