For years news has played and still plays the game. The rise of news media on the Net has opened a shit ton of people eyes.

I expect to see the internet and free information under attack in the very near future.

Once Reagan's goons had him entrenched in the Whitehouse they started exporting American style conservatism and political gamesmanship to Europe. The elite in Europe already had a start with Thatcher and Rupert Murdoch.

I took less than a year for Reagan's administration to show signs of corruption. For that party as a whole about twenty. The European branch just took hold faster.

If all the money in the world is owned by just a few thousand people, we'll all lose out.

Votes wont matter soon, trade deals have already taken virtually everything important off the table.

Now they want to do it again for emphasis.

"in your face" excesses of the wealthy while they struggle to provide for themselves and their loved ones.

not only is the struggle getting harder - it is becoming impossible.

people have fewer and fewer rights to a quality of life. they see how the planet is truly suffering from all of the unrestrained greed and disregard for life and the planet's finite resources. the future of all humanity and for future generations is openly threatened - right before our eyes.

people have less food, less stability - so many are suffering. it is unjust. we can do better and we will.

1. Increased numbers of people have grown up with the Internet, media conglomerate sources aren't nearly as effective at segregating information like they used to be, thus keeping large percentages of humanity ignorant and un-empowered.

2. Wealth inequality and rampant privatization of essential life enabling resources is playing an increasing role in undermining the middle class, spreading severe poverty, pushing increased numbers of people to the margins with the result of raising awareness in regards to corporate/government collusion and corruption.

3. The increasing effects of global warming climate change is already devastating larger segments of societies driving them to desperation while also raising awareness of governmental actions and in-actions due in large part to being corrupted or at the very least compromised by corporate power and wealth.

Thanks for the thread, Baobab.
