It had Idaho plates. Given that L A is one of the most heterogeneous cities in America and Idaho is one of the most homogeneous state he or she must hate it here.

(970 posts)And have only seen one RMoney sticker just two weeks ago. Driver was a nice clean-cut middle-aged white guy in a mini-van. He's a fish out of water here. Lots of Hispanic, African-Americans and Jewish voters in my district. Always solid Dem.

(33,349 posts)Seriously, she and her hubby retired to Idaho some years ago and they have family
in Alhambra.
I used to be in touch with her through fb. Ignored her politics--for the most part--but
when she got snotty and put up a post suggesting I should be put in time out for daring
to initiate a conversation about issues--well, fu*k her. I made her career when I hired
her for a department head level position at a major hospital in L.A. Made her damn career.
And I should be put in 'time-out'?
She was never that rabid right wing when I knew her in the 80's. I imagine that
after she and her hubby started listening to Faux News it brought out the worst in her.
Funny though. It could be them!

(7 posts)I parked next to 10-12 year old Suv in Texas that still had a McCain-Palin bumper sticker but had nothing that indicated their support for Romney-Ryan.
I am the son of a Franklin D. Roosevelt Democrat and I proudly say that I cast my vote for Barrack Obama and Joe Biden and all the other Democrats on the ballot. Here in Texas it may not have much affect but was the right thing to do.

I worked in Alhambra for over 16 years in a Chinese law firm practicing immigration law. I don't know any Chinese-Americans who are going for Republicans this time around. I knew several who went for Bush in 2000 because he said he would lower taxes and they lived to regret it because of what he did to the economy.
