Obama “During the course of a primary, people say what they think might help them get some votes,” (Original Post) NWCorona May 2016 OP
Mediaite says it was a knock on Bernie, not Hillary. But he was talking about both. thesquanderer May 2016 #1
I watched the whole press conference and Bernie wasn't even mentioned during that exchange. NWCorona May 2016 #2
You missed it. Watch the clip in the link. Questioner asks about both Hillary and Bernie. (n/t) thesquanderer May 2016 #4
Thanks I will check it out again! NWCorona May 2016 #5
It could be taken as a knock against himself. hellofromreddit May 2016 #6
Yes, that as well. Basically, it's just a statement of political realism. (n/t) thesquanderer May 2016 #7
Who didn't know that? nt BootinUp May 2016 #3
Probably both imo forjusticethunders May 2016 #8

He was earlier tho. What Obama said in Japan mirrors what he said in 2008 about Hillary.

That's my take but he could be talking about both.

I feel like he's trying to remind people that people in a primary will say all kinds of nasty shit in a primary and then kiss and make up later and work together to beat the other side. After all, he was on the receiving end of it from Hillary in 2008.
