How to vote 3 times in the election!

I overheard two Republicans talking while I was outside enjoying a butt. The one just couldn't get behind Capt. Coo coo the orange avenger. Was talking about only voting down ticket or third party. "But don't you get it?" the other asked. "Not voting for Trump is a vote for Clinton." Deja vu. Seems I'd heard that somewheres else. Then it hit me.

If I don't vote for Trump, I'm voting for Clinton.
If I don't vote for Clinton, I'm voting for Trump.
Apparently, if I vote third party or write in, I get 3 friggin votes! Legally! How awesome is that, huh?

1. Two I could understand, but not three.

The only thing matters is the difference between Clinton's and Trump's tallies.

The difference between voting for Trump and voting for Clinton is effectively 2 votes:

(C+1) - T = C - (T+1) + 2

The differences between voting for Clinton and not voting, and between not voting and voting for Trump, are one vote each:

(C+1) - T = C-T + 1

C - T = C - (T+1) + 1

A vote for a third party or a write in is to all intents and purposes identical to not voting, except you get to feel like you're participating in the democratic process.

2. Actually

voting third party is participating in the democratic process. I mean, sure there's no chance of a third party win. But does that then mean that Mcain or Romney voters didn't participate in the democratic process? Because neither of them had a chance either. Not that I'm recommending the idea. Fuck man, do I really have to put up a sarcasm tag?
