I keep noticing the same people reaching and trying to divide on behalf of Hillary.

What was that phrase, "Disqualify, Destroy, Unite Later"? Something like that? I don't remember, I tend to mentally purge the idiocy I read nowadays but-- with this latest spate of dredging up imagined sexism, A LOT of people tilting at windmills(when Clinton denied Bernie's request to debate, what the hell was he supposed to do, sit there, stay silent, and subsequently lose California? Wait, I'm talking to plutocratic corporatists, he's supposed to live beneath the boot of the oligarchs) where all that exists to threaten them are clouds.

Good luck uniting the party. You'll need it.

Bernie and Jane Sanders: The Democratic Party’s Thelma and Louise

Now we are forced to ask whether Bernie Sanders has decided he wants to destroy the Democratic Party. I’m sure he would say he wants to save it. The way we saved villages in Vietnam. You know the quote.

I don’t allege that he decided to run as a Democrat for this reason. He did so, I’m told by those who’d know, because he did not want to be the 21st-century Ralph Nader and because he knew that running against Hillary Clinton would give him a much bigger stage on which to inveigh against the parasites.

That was then. But now, after the Nevada fracas and his gobsmacking statement in the wake of it, it’s remorselessly clear that he wants to obliterate the Democratic Party. Revolutions take on lives of their own. Robespierre never thought back in 1790 or ’91 that the guillotine would be needed. But as the dialecticians like to say, historical circumstances change. By 1793, those little sheep who’d been misled by sellouts like Danton were part of the…corrupt establishment.

Consider the statement. Have you read it? You must. Remember the context: It had just been revealed, only hours before, that his supporters had hurled abominable epithet at Nevada Democratic Chairwoman Roberta Lange, threatening death and calling her a “c--t.” That word, especially thrown at a woman, crosses an obvious line.

You want to see the results of Clinton style regressive, triangulating, suck up to Republican values politics? Check out this chart of majorities in Congress, and notice that from the time of FDR on, for decades, the Democrats held majorities in Congress, with very few exceptions.

When did this end? The triangulating second term of Bill Clinton.

http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0774721.html

How consistent has it been since then with triangulation and so forth? Very bad, very spotty, except with the arrival of Barack Obama. When did it fuck up again? Obama's second term, after he had already shown a weak hand on a number of Progressive promises he had made.

I know some will be up in arms over this last comment, but look at the results.

You don't get good results out of a Democratic base and those who think like them, which polls say are the majority of Americans, by sucking up to the ghost of Ronald Reagan. If the Democratic Party can get their head out of that ass, they will do alright. If they continue to be regressive and Republican light, this is going to be a tough year defeating Donald Trump.

Yes, I think Bernie represents our best chance. But at least acknowledge he is trying to hold the Democrats to Democratic values, and for some reason a whole lot of you are advocating for values that are a whole lot less Democratic, at least in the best of most Liberal sense of the word.

spoke of republicans. So get off your high horse acting like you are someone seeking great unity when most of the shit you spew is apologetic bullshit for conservative policies and stances. As far as anyone " playing the victim" I'd say Hillary has done it quite well most of her career.

In the 90's she complained about a vast right wing conspiracy, (partially lead by David Brock) so what does our victim do? Hires the guy who slandered her for a decade.. bravo way to show you principles. She blamed the Iraq war vote on dubya being misleading, not thinking about her long speech in support of it. She refers to wars as " business opportunities" votes for them but plays the victim.

Earlier in the campaign when Bernie stated, " we can shout about guns all we want but without a solution it will get us nowhere." Hillary spun that into sexism as " a woman shouting " Stop spreading your crocodile tears and false narratives every time you get a sad. It's tiring and Hillary supporters are actually the one weakening her candidacy. Like her, her supporters continually play the victim as well. Seems to me you guys say little and stand for even less. Kind of sad considering she is supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread and can't handle Trump ( former Hillary donor) or Bernie (74 year old crackpot to Hillary supporters) . what exactly does that say?

It's the histrionic dance of the narcissist poster. Speak ignorant provocations while claiming to represent a collective voice. Ramp up the bullying rhetoric until someone calls you on it. Shatter into a thousand victim tinged splinters, in
Front of your adoring audience, with increasing venom until you are tombstoned. Orchestrate the martyr's collapse in front of your weeping fans. It's the climax in the second act. This honestly hurts my feelings, since I been hated all my life for being me. Being hated by a fellow Democrat for voting for my choice of Democratic candidate is new. Seriously I am about to give up trying to defend myself for someone else's irrational hatred of me, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.

80. It's not hate; but derision and mild disgust at this point.

When someone like me, a biracial, pansexual enlisted airman can be called everything under the sun from "not really black" to racist, misogynistic, ableist, right-winger neocon and all that other horseshit-- and in the very next fuckin breath, be admonished that I'd better be voting for the person that the people who've leveled all these charges at me support? Fuck every last bit of that noise.

Y'all have killed the idea of being a Democrat for me.
