Trump's $10 Million Price Tag On The Debate Shows He Is Trolling...

Both Bernie and Hillary. I can understand Bernie jumping at the chance for a debate. But, once Trump started inventing conditions and demanding money, Bernie should call BS. This is a debate not a cage match. Worse, Bernie is letting Trump dictate terms.

Now, irrespective of the debate, Trump could claim credit for raising $10 million for women with Bernie as a mere prop. If Bernie can get a no strings attached debate from Trump, the more power to him. But, if Bernie has to sell out by agreeing to whatever conditions Trump invents, then he looks like he is just being used as a prop. This is Trump's real game. Belittle both Bernie and Hillary at the same time. Maybe Trump will demand that Bernie wear a skirt as a stand in for Hillary just to see if Bernie considers it.

...and even if they are able to negotiate down his demands and get the debate, Trump ends up winning because everyone jumped through his hoops.

By all means, if they were just going to do a debate, then I think Bernie should do it, but Bernie should not allow himself to be used as a prop. He should just tell Trump to drop the BS and debate. Otherwise, he is showing far more deference to Trump than any Democrat.

5. Is Bernie in a Position to Negotiate?

Is Bernie insisting as a condition of the debate that there be some sort of charity gate fee? Or, is Bernie just jumping through whatever hoops Trump makes up?

If it was his idea. This is a debate, not a wrestling match.
