Have you ever tried to figure out Romney's strange facial expression?

Watching him in speeches and the debate, have you ever noticed the very strage look Romney gets on his face when he eother has to wait for applause or (in a debate) wait for Obama to finish talking?

It's really odd and disconcerting. He sort of purses his lips and gets this almost deliberately blank stare. It's not really a smile, but he turns the ends of his lips up slightly...He also tops his head ever so slghtly.

Maybe it's just his drama coach's advice to blank out and not reveal anything.....Maybe like a good ceo or con man, he's just tyhinking "Hurry up you dopes so I can say what I want."..... Dunno, but it's very odd.

he is basking in the adoration... seriously... Everything about him screams narcissist. I truly believe that the weird smile and glazed eyes is him 'basking' in the 'love.' Creepiest damn politician since Nixon. Something very very wrong with him. I've watched the videos of him in Iowa in that interview, and he's just messed up.

But that look, to me, is sort of him thinking "I'm a king" They adore me... and it creeps me the fuck out.

Hard to say if it's terminal or extent & nature of danger but

he should not be president.

There are better, more predictable choices, more in line with the general population.

He shouldn't have been nominated.

Im not saying he is a "bad" guy. He seems like a good dad and husband.

But he is a psychopath. He only knows how to follow rules. I dont think he has any ability at all to understand or read other people.

That "look" you describe betrays it. Its the look of a child trying to understand what is going on around him.

He says something that's most likely a lie, turns his head to the left and pauses with the most robotic fake smile on his face until the crowd cheers, waits 1-2 seconds then turns his head to the right.

The look is something along the lines of "now cheer me peons".

We missed the first one, but watched the second and third as a group.
It was very disconcerting.

However... On the one hand... I think part of it was that he didn't want to get Al Gored.
A single "pshaw" and that would have been a talking point for a week.
Same for Obama. He also had his "game face" on, it's just that his is a little nicer looking.

On the other hand... did you notice that neither one of them touched their faces at all during the debates?
Same thing, they didn't want to get Al Gored for yawning of picking their nose or rubbing their eyes or anything. Have you ever gone 90 minutes without scratching or rubbing or picking or yawning?

Frankly, I think it is inhuman what we put these people through.
And it's the fucking media's fault for being such a raving bunch of douchebags.

That being said, the way Romney acted was just weird.
At least Obama appeared human.
Romney did not...

Facial responses...inappropriate or lack thereof ... is one of the ways young children are screened for Special Ed. He could not get hired for a real job because HR people have the same skills.

My guess is some major cash passed hands, somehow, somewhere to make Mitt a sacrificial lamb and this a election a Republican pass for 2016 when it will be a real race. He's the only one in the initial lineup, at least as I recall, without somewhat of a base to return to and wait for later. After this, Mitt goes home to Ann and the family.

Ryan, OTOH, a bit curious.

Enough intelligence to understand "supply and demand".

But not enough to understand "supply and demand" + other equations.

Ayn Rand's greatest skill was playing to their ego,
convince them that they "coulda been a contender"
cept'n for that Ole E-ville Guberment.

The ACs are almost always "B" and "C" stringers convinced
that they're "A" level but... they aren't.

In Ryan's case, you've got a guy who's never worked, really.

It was fun seeing him continue to attempt it while his top lip was getting sweaty.

Imagine a parent looking at their child and saying, "oh you are such an Angel".

Well, Romney wants you to be thinking that about him when he says, something like, "we should vote out of LOVE".

Yes, he tilts his head and tries to get that look of an Angel.

I have often seen this, insincere, "oh, ain't I sweet" look.
