ANAHEIM, Calif. Senator Bernie Sanders may be trailing Hillary Clinton by hundreds of delegates, and Mrs. Clinton may be treating the Democratic nomination as hers, but Julie Crowell, a stay-at-home mother and a die-hard Sanders supporter, is holding out for an 11th-hour miracle: divine deliverance at the hands of the F.B.I.
Like many of Mr. Sanderss supporters, Ms. Crowell, 37, said she hoped that Mrs. Clintons use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state would eventually yield an indictment, and she described it as the kind of transgression that would disqualify another politician seeking high office.

(30,994 posts)I see what could be the most horrible end to a useless presidential election season in the history of the country.
I don't want anyone to win because the FBI nails Hillary.
But if someone else has to be president as a result, let it be Elizabeth Warren.
She would be, I believe, legit, as the kids all say.
Blue Meany
(1,947 posts)evident lack of knowledge on foreign policy. But she's smart and probably doesn't want to be president--and those are two huge qualifications right there. I don't think Bernie wants to be president either. But Hillary really really wants it, so she'll say and do a lot of things that are not consistent with any principles to get there, and that means we don't really know what she stands for or what she'll do.

(3,937 posts)If Hillary is going down in this thing then she needs to go down ASAP for the good of the Party. My first choice is Bernie but my second choice is anyone but Trump.
If Hillary can't get it done let's get behind someone who can.

(18,115 posts)I don't expect Hillary to be indicted and certainly don't want that to happen.
But I have no bearing or influence on the direction of the FBI investigation. And what we already know is damning.

No need to vet Sanders when it's been a start to finish win. God I didn't need to click that link. I'm so glad that aggressive and outright racist bigot was banned. He found a new home at the extremely sexist, racist and bigoted site jackpineradical. Glad he is no longer here to spread his racist and bigoted message. Unfortunately, there is always going to be a place that opens their arms to that hate online.

Between Schumlin and Sanders that will make you laugh at your own post here. I have seen them. They have no intentions of running the story unless Sanders makes it into the general or it becomes more clear they can't make this the horse race they want.
You might want to be careful about the scandal part when the media has yet to vet your candidate.

(30,481 posts)But clearing isn't your thing. I'm really not concerned as the race is in the bag. It's also extremely clear that was pay to play.no question about it. I think your real question should be how the op you linked to stayed a member here for so long as an open racist and bigot. Glad they were banned. Jackpineradicals cheered the bigot racists arrival.
Really no need to get Sanders. Clinton views him as a tool. She beat him from start to finish.
I still think what I saw is going to make it to the public eye. A legal manner of getting the info is currently under way. Clinton won't be the one to release it. It's looking more like Sanders friends at Crossroads might. But there is really no need anymore.

(30,481 posts)I'm not even sure it was real. Lots of people are producing fake images. Look at the Sanders supporters just yesterday swooning over what they thought was a Clinton ad but is now known to have first been seen at the National review.
Real or not it is like the situation Rather was in. We know Sanders and Jane were doing pay to play. Even the most "Sanders is so dreamy" crew can see that. Lol.

(30,481 posts)It's right in post #6.
I also never said it was false. We know it was pay to play and I'm not sure if what I saw was real or not. I'm not sure why you have now been dishonest twice. Actually, I do, but it's really insignificant and not worthy of conversation.

You have clearly been dishonest twice in our brief encounter here. That makes this statement textbook projection on your part:
"It's clear who has a problem with being honest."

There is going to be some kind of change, and even if its like a Nazi-type change. People are so drama-filled. They want to see stuff like that happen. Its like reality TV. You dont want to just see everybody be happy with each other. You want to see someone fighting somebody.
It was cavalier thinking like that that led to six million of my co-religionists being liquidated. I am in L A... I would bet my errrrr, ear Mr. Vizcarra doesn't do his Trump pumping in broad swaths of our city.

(9,314 posts)What happens to Hillary Clinton with regards to the FBI investigation will not impact Sanders campaign. While some might think if she disqualifies herself, that would give Bernie a clean shot. The fact is the Establishment will do everything it can to prevent Bernie from beginning the DNC nominee. He opposes the TPP, which is all-important to them. The DNC will drop-kick another candidate in to take Hillary's place (a new Dem or Third Way type) and that will be that.
I do believe that very act though will damage the Party.

(30,058 posts)Whomever she released her delegates to will have the majority and will win. It will not be Sanders, why should it be Sanders? Because he did earn the delegates. He came in second in a two person race. In other words he did not get the delegates he needed.
