My biggest problem with the potential Sanders/Trump debate

Is that SOB trump is going to try and use it with his 15 million for health care for women to paper over his misogynist behaviors.. Even the suggestion,if they don't debate he (trump) will say.." see I was trying to help women's health care.. "I cherish women" as he drones on

Trump is using this as a PR scam. He has already won the nomination and doesn't need to debate anyone. However, he loves the public to see how badly Sanders seems to need Trump. He loves to be seen as the man in charge, the man who will choose to favor Sanders, or not, the man who holds Bernie's future in his hands. He loves the public to see Sanders waiting and hoping that maybe, just maybe, Trump will throw him a bone. Of course, he loves this. And, he loves the idea that because of him, the imaginary money will go to promote women's health. Of course, if it ever gets that far, HE will control the money, HE will vet the recipients. The potential recipients will then be lined up wishing and hoping that Trump will throw them a bone.

And, he'll probably keep the money for himself.

Trump is the ONLY person who will benefit from this baloney.

Only good things will come of it.

Bernie is quick on his feet, and will shred Trump to pieces with the facts.

Bernie will not be critical of Hillary because this is an opportunity for him to show that he can play the role of a uniter for the Democratic party.

Bernie will defend Hillary when Trump brings up the things that Bernie has said in the past: while he has differences with Hillary, they pale in comparison with their differences with Trump.

It will expose a lot of people to Bernie's political views. Whether or not he wins the nomination, those values he advocates need to become entrenched in our society.

And there's no good reason for Sanders to allow this to happen. It is ridiculous to debate the GE candidate if you're not a GE candidate yourself. Just no upside to it. Hillary does not need the "help" and Sanders has nothing to win.

Sanders has placed himself in a submissive position vis-a-vis Trump. He should not be waiting and hoping for Trump to call him and favor him with an appearance. Sanders should seize the initiative:

1) He should tell Trump that the public will not be charged to attend or to watch the debate on TV.

2) He should tell Trump to forget about the 10 million dollars, that Trump has proven himself time and again to be dishonest and that Sanders will not participate in any joint fundraising because Trump cannot be trusted around other people’s money.

3) Sanders should find a place (e.g., LA Coliseum) and tell Trump to show up on a night that Sanders likes and that the two campaigns will be sharing the cost for the venue.

And, Sanders should tell Trump to either show up or shut up.
