You know, if you want to mix fake audio into footage of a Bernie rally...

why not just go all in with some of David Allen Coe's more racist stuff, or maybe those Arayan Nation twins (Prussian Blue?). I mean, seriously, I love rap and I can barely make out WTH DMX is rapping about 90% of the time. For that matter maybe splice in some footage of a lynch mob or ISIS murdering gay men and maybe photoshop Bernie into some old George Wallace video.

Why go halfway?

If someone would have told me this is where my party would sink to 8 years after electing Barack Obama President I would have laughed. But now we have the supporters of the potential first woman President attacking the first potential Jewish President. Can we all maybe just stick to actual video and audio, and quit doctoring shit up or creating controversy where none exists?

It was just a kid. He thought it would be cool. Made a mistake, as young folks do. We should leave him be and just drop it. He seems to genuinely support Bernie and admitted what he did. If we stop bringing it up, then maybe he can stop getting messages and chill out, think about what he did.
I instantly knew what the deal was. Too bad folks here never let a bad thing pass without talking it to death. I bet his twitter feed is outrageous.

Claims to be a sanders supporter doing a "social experiment"

I make no claims as to who he supports.

He says he made the fake video just to see Twitterverse would would latch on it and explode.

Seems he put it out there without fanfare, which fits the "social experiment" idea.

IMHO The guy is not as clever as he thinks it is, outta get out of the 'social experiment' business.

If I can find the link to his story/explanation I will edit it in. (ON EDIT: Posted link and the guy's explaination in a post below)

Everybody knows Bernie would not use an anti gay song.

Lots of threads on this, IMHO it is pretty much of a dead horse today.

YMMV of course, carry on.

Bernie Sanders Did Not Play DMX's 'Where the Hood At'; Video Creator Speaks on 'Social Experiment'

http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7386067/bernie-sanders-dmx-where-the-hood-at-video-fake

Acuna, who added the DMX song to the video, reached out to Billboard to issue his own statement: "Standing in the crowd waiting for Senator Sanders can lead to daydreaming, and it did just that. It started with thinking how funny it would be if I edited a video to make it seem as if Bernie walked out to DMX, but after waiting a bit longer, I decided I'd turn it into a social experiment."

"Everyone seems to be very easily fooled by anything they see on the Internet. On one end we have a majority of the Twitter community going crazy and some going as far as even saying they're 'switching allegiances' and 'I was never going to vote but this just changed my mind' to some people in the LGBT community saying they knew all along that Bernie Sanders is a 'gay basher' and to be honest, if I wanted that to be the message the song would have started completely different. Instead, what we hear is 'Where the hood at?' At the end of it all, I wanted to show the world that politics are not something to fool around with and to prove it, I faked this video," Acuna said.

He continued: "Bernie has always made it a point that the youth needs to get more involved in the political process, and as funny as it may be that DMX’s 'Where the Hood At?' might have swayed them into doing so, it's still very disappointing at the same time. I've observed each candidate very closely, and regardless of what people may think of Bernie Sanders and their stance politically, there's no denying he is a man of the people, and there is more than enough evidence to prove that. With all that being said, I hope everyone realizes that we still live in the real world, not the Internet."

but I now understand what transpired. I think it was a stupid maneuver, and I think we need the Party uniting behind Senator Sanders instead of fighting amongst ourselves as the email scandal slowly morphs Secretary Clinton into Richard M. Nixon...

I realize there is a lot of emotional investment behind HRC supporters. But a VP Warren would be historic and set her up to lead the ticket in 2020 or 2024. Just sayin'...

Think about how eagerly they all ran with the "CHAIRS! THEY'RE THROWING CHAIRS!" bullshit.

He decides to put this out there to play the media and they fell for it. No fact checking, just eagerly rushing to publicize that they thought might help Hillary's chances.

The only question I'm left wondering is who initially found it and decided to start trumpeting it and how it spread from there. The guy has very few likes/retweets.
