The Declarations of the Bernie Sanders Alternative Universe:

Here is the Sanders Alternative Universe:

1) Math doesn't exist. (So what if Hillary has 3 million more votes and nearly 300 more pledged delegates.)

2) Everything imaginable is "rigged" and "corrupt."

3) People of color aren't smart enough to vote for their "best interests."

4) Democrats in the South don't matter.

5) Independents should determine Democratic Party nominees.

6) Money is evil, but paying Devine and Weaver MASSIVE salaries making them millionaires is just great.

7) The R's will never use "socialist communist socialist communist...!!!!" night and day to tear Bernie apart.

8) Current polls showing Bernie doing well against Trump are pure gold even though Bernie hasn't had a single negative ad run against him and hasn't come close to being fully vetted.

9) Most Americans most definitely want as their president a European-style self-described "socialist" who has praised Fidel Castro.

10) Even though Bernie was never a Democrat and trashed the party over the years, and even though he clearly said at the beginning of the campaign that it would be very hard to win the nomination, he should now automatically be the nominee.

11) It is just fine to go into interviews after months of campaigning without a strong command of the facts on the very issues at the center of Bernie's own campaign. No one should care.

12) It is just fine to continue to trash the very party that welcomed Bernie in and has supported him with access to voter files and everything else available to any candidate running for the presidency.

13) It is ok to bash and trash Hillary Clinton night and day but shout to the rafters when ANYTHING about Bernie is called into question.

14) It is just fine to condone disrupting a state convention and booing a progressive hero like Barbara Boxer out of conspiracy theories and even when the person who won the caucuses actually wins the convention too because she had more delegates.

15) It is more important to shout about supposed conspiracy theories than strongly condemn people who would actually use filthy misogynistic insults and death threats against a state party chairwoman.

have never visited a country where hippos live. I would like to visit a lot of different places, but time and money and other pervasive obstructions block my path.

I've visited countries where the have howler monkeys, however.

I realize hippos and not howler monkeys are your chief interest, but still, I thought I'd at least mention the howler monkeys. They get very little attention, much less than they ought to, IMO.

sound like they are.

Odd to say, though, I came away with more respect for them than when I came in.

Not crazy hippos and howler monkeys!

No wonder the clown is freaking out and melting down.

lucked out with the gorilla, as opposed to a poolful of hippos. Because the hippos would have fought each other over the opportunity to eat the baby as a mid-day snack.

...especially when it comes to strategy. It is impossible not only to win a nomination but also to achieve policy goals without the numbers in place. That's why it's so important to vote in every midterm election. You don't get the Congress you want unless you are willing to do the legwork to get it.

But that's the work that's done when the rallies are over and the reporters go home, and few people will even know about it.

Sanders has not been vetted and I find the continued claims that Sanders is electable to be very sad

It seems designed to aggravate Sanders supporters.

Do you think someone from the Sanders camp is going to read it and say "Why, he's so right. I'll just dump Bernie and join the Hillary camp right now."

There's enough ill will at this forum; there's no point in poking a stick in someone's eye.

the stuff in your op.

In your fantasy university you believe and have trumpeted that Hillary is smashing trump, that she'll win in a landslide. You believe that the dems expressing concern about her campaign don't know what they are talking about or they didn't really say what they're quoted as saying.

You think the email fiasco is made up like Benghazi and will have no effect when it already has.

You live in Hillary unicorn rainbow land, dear.

They want completely open primaries, so not only would Is have influence, the GOP would as well. No, thanks.

to concede, even months after falling behind by so many hundreds of delegates that becoming nominee is impossible. Instead, he can continue to spend 8 or 9 figures attacking the presumptive nominee with blatant lies, and even try to arrange with the Republican candidate a joint attack on the Democratic presumptive nominee, from the same stage.
