I don't like all of the name calling and insults. But, what we have here is a huge faction within the Democratic Party that feels as though they're being asked to support someone who stands against their principles.

We really should split the party up. It would be better for everyone.

I'm occasionally amused about the situation, but more often not so much.

to whatever extent the level and degree of contempt for the other is expressed at the 2016 party convention and/or the polls maybe observable remains to be seen as the events unfold and the subsequent reactions to it plays out.

It may not be as evident in 2016, but I'd be surprised if it isn't demonstrably clear by 2018 and beyond.
