Related: About this forumBREAKING: HILLARY AIDE REFUSES TO ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT EMAIL
Mills recalls thinking she'd return to NYU when Clinton, the incoming secretary of state, asked her to serve as chief of staff, something the former White House lawyer said she couldn't refuse.
At State, Mills was both chief of staff and also a counsel to Clinton, but a policy wonk, not the secretary of state's legal representation.
It wasn't until after the State Department, that Clinton made Mills her lawyer.
And according to her testimony, that's when she found out about her boss' secret server.

(44,117 posts)In this article they also cite Daily Caller (Tucker Carlson Right wing) and Washington Times (Reverend Moon right wing) in that article, so that gives you an idea about what waters they swim in.
Doesn't mean the article inaccurate though. However please note this is not a govt deposition. This is the JudicialWatch.org case.

This is a CIVIL suit. Right wing group Judicial Watch is suing the State Department for the release of emails under FOIA.

(4,533 posts)Did Hillary fail to make hard copies? Did she use file folders with only three tabs on the side instead of five tabs? If this is a serious matter how come no one can say what Hillary did that actually matters? I understand that some things matter - I get that wearing white before Memorial Day deserves the chair - but 3 tabs instead of 5 or whatever Hillary may have done - who really cares?

But the remedy for them claiming privilege is just to investigate both of them as co conspirators.

This is the same right wing group that's been suing Obama for the past eight years over his troubling annual two week vacations with his family.

(10,123 posts)This isn't a David Brock smear job. This is a court. Judge Sullivan seems like a reasonable judge.
Given Judicial Watch is right leaning and biased that way - we have to bear that in mind.
But if you've followed the case, they've made their arguments based on evidence and legal reasoning. Judge Sullivan is not the only judge to see that this issue looks like bad faith and something smelly going on and allowing depositions (unusual in FOIA cases).
We have the media reviewing the IG of the State Department report that adds to the list of lies Hillary has told about this. Judicial Watch didn't utter those lies or put a server with classified material in their house.
Why is Hillary lying so much about this?
Hillary's server guy cuts an immunity deal .. for a little "mistake"?
Cheryl Mills, a lawyer for Hillary Clinton (who is also a lawyer) had five other lawyers defending her when she was deposed and avoided answering a bunch of their questions. Hillary avoided answering the IG's questions unlike what she promised in the media. Doesn't that strike you as a little mind boggling for a little "mistake" as Hillary has claimed?
The Inspector General for the Intelligence Community has yet to report after looking at this for a year.
The FBI have been at this for close to a year. Why that long for a little "mistake"?
Sorry folks. Shooting the messenger Judicial Watch on this one doesn't cut the mustard. There is something going on here - more than Hillary has told us. Hillary has always lied for a reason. This time is no different. They just haven't nailed down why she's lying yet. Maybe like Watergate, they're following the money ... to the Clinton Foundation. Whatever.
Something here stinks and the media, judges, inspector generals and FBI seem to know it.

(11,945 posts)had a news blackout on Bernie from the start. So early on, before people knew about Bernie, Hill was considered the only Democrat running and she racked up votes in states where her voters relied on the MSM. When people don't have enough information, they make lousy decisions.
But the non MSM media -- social media, twitter, internet, email -- is far more open to sharing the truth and that's how people learned about Bernie -- so they showed up by the tens of thousands for his rallies, and from then on Bernie has given Hillary a run for her (considerable) money.
Hillary and Trump got to where they are from the MSM. For all the publicity, they are both so awful that they are the two most disliked front runners in U.S. history. Hillary is not only disliked, she is considered untrustworthy.
That's your candidate, Tarc.
