2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumLOL. How "big" is the email story? CNN has ZERO articles about it on their front page
Not in "Top Stories". Not in "News and Buzz". Not in "Recommended". Not even in the "Politics" subsection (Top Stories there: Trump Hits Back, Obama, Trump in UK, Clinton's Trump Strategy and Republicans for Hillary). Not even in "Opinions"
The first and only mention of the email story occurs...well, nowhere.
I would say the MSM isn't putting too much stock in the indictment fairy.

Using this logic, I guess global warming isn't a concern, since CNN spent more time airing fossil fuel ads than talking about it in recent months? I guess the TPP isn't important either, since there is next to no analysis, forget critical analysis, by the network on the TPP? How much did CNN cover inequality and corruption before Occupy and Sanders rose in the polls?
By the way, Time Warner is her eighth largest donor over her career. Who owns CNN? Care to take a guess?

(162 posts)The logic that started this thread is shallow as a kiddie pool. If we went by what CNN thought was relevant, we wouldn't know dick about the world we live in. Thank god for the internet and alternative media.

In her 1987 autobiography, Assata Shakur characterized liberalism as a politically and morally bankrupt ideology, writing:
I have never really understood exactly what a liberal is, since I have heard liberals express every conceivable opinion on every conceivable subject. As far as I can tell, you have the extreme right, who are fascist racist capitalist dogs like Ronald Reagan, who come right out and let you know where theyre coming from. And on the opposite end, you have the left, who are supposed to be committed to justice, equality, and human rights. And somewhere between those two points is the liberal.
As far as Im concerned, liberal is the most meaningless word in the dictionary.

(11,986 posts)Like I said when you posted the same thing about NBC... there's been no NEWS about this in days. I'm not sure what kind of article you're expecting to see.

(12,809 posts)Since the MSM deals in pre-determined narratives that peddle "conflict," then it was definitely worth their (advertising and eyeballs) time to keep the email fiasco alive earlier in primary season. Now that she's the presumptive Dem nominee, the next narrative "story" (well, the same over-arching narrative, really, since Clinton has ALWAYS been the presumptive nominee to the MSM) will focus on The Donald taking on the Clinton Dynasty for the MAIN EVENT!!! "Let's get ready to rumblllllllllllllle!!!!" AND SO... having her being dogged by email-gate or being indicted right out of the Presidential campaign does NOT fit that narrative going forward.

(2,329 posts)the only new news is HRC's changed her story again?
She's not going to do a presser or anything but softball interviews so there's its not like anyone can really ASK her anything about the story and get real answers.
