Bernie Sanders WILL DEFINITELY speak at the convention.

I have the text of his speech right here. He will make it from the floor on Wednesday:

Bernie: Madame Chair! Madam Chair!

Chair: The Chair recognizes the Senator and delegate from Vermont.

Bernie: Madam Chair, Hillary Clinton has won the majority of pledged delegates during the primary elections and caucuses in the states and territories of the United States of America. Therefore, and in recognition of her victory, I move that the rules be suspended and further move that Hillary Clinton be declared the Presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, by acclamation.

Chair: I have the motion to suspend the rules and for the nomination of Hillary Clinton as Democratic nominee by acclamation. Is there a second?

Floor: Second! (from hundreds of delegates)

Chair: All those in favor of suspending the rules for an acclamation vote to nominate Hillary Clinton by acclamation, signify by saying "Aye." (Raucous cheers.) Opposed, say "Nay." (10 people yell NAY!)

Chair: The motion is carried.

Chair: I have a motion to nominate Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic nominee for President by acclamation. Is there a second?

Floor: Universal cheering.

Chair: All those in favor of the nomination, say "Aye." (huge celebratory cheer) Opposed, say "Nay." (Silence)

Chair: The motion is carried by acclamation and Hillary Clinton is now the nominee for President of the Democratic Party!

It's the proper thing to do when you came in second in the primary race and do not have the majority of pledged delegates. Bernie Sanders should follow her lead from 2008. That would be most appropriate.

I'll be making grilled turkey and cheese sandwiches. They're very good, and a favorite of my wife's. They're easy, but very good. I also grill some cheese lace chips to serve with them. They're a specialty of mine, and a big hit whenever I make them.

So, I dropped back into DU. Thanks for asking.

But judging by his present behavior, I'm skeptical.

Unlike Hillary in June 2008, he's one bitter, temperamental, and deeply frustrated man.

primary race, Bernie Sanders is a good, decent man, and has a precedent for this from Hillary Clinton in 2008. He will do the right thing, I'm sure.

but still without the nomination. Disgraced, how does he run for the Senate again. Politics is a fickle thing. If you blow a big chance, you may never recover.

Hillary did the right thing in 2008. Now, she will become the nominee for that office. Sometimes, you have to swallow your disappointment, make a good showing and wait for another chance. Politics.

15. Establishment thinking...

Jun 2016

it is odd yet funny to see establishment thinking process as time passes, this mindset that what was, will be without taking in the context of the current activity as the new paradigm and not the old

MM is carrying over that past as if that will be the map for the present... that the current primary cycle isn't a new evolution to reform from within but merely a repeat of something seen prior

that 'whoosh' that flew over establishment's head is the current reality of this primary cycle... they may sense something is amiss but are unwilling to accept it

I got over using the word "paradigm" a long time ago. It's such an 80s word. But, hey, that's OK. It's still a useful word.

'I got over using the word "paradigm" a long time ago.' humanity and it's cycles... yeah, words get caught up in that process as well, guess you haven't figured that out? Or to the point, why would specific words trigger your tangent point? 'squirrel moment'?.. I'll let it pass, since you do like to roll in the TT

At least I did strike a nerve with my reply, so there is that... good to know reality does manage to fit into your political perception / view

It's the MM translator... once you get it dialed in it's like magic!
