children in the developing world. It's like the one laptop per child idea where you buy a laptop at Best Buy and they give an OLPC to a kid in subsaharan Africa.

not a double standard or anything, but you know, some of those "charities" they seem to need a lot of maintaining.
some of them get exposed on occasion.

Not to mention that Modi has made it difficult for NGOs to take any foreign money at all, so all of our fundraising is within India. Which is particularly a shame because with the Rupee being as weak as it is you could get some real philanthropic "bargains" from a country with a stronger currency (I used to have a good pitch that talked about a weak local currency as a kind of matching fund).

poverty is where the money is and money is where their hearts are.
I remember when Neil Bush was another word for fraud in the Democratic Party.
