2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumYes, let's repeat some of the differences between Hillary and Bernie AGAIN!m(while we still have the
chance)
From my friends comments in a post I read:
"So, let me get this straight.
You support Hillary, because she supported the Iraq war, when Bernie was against it?
You support Hillary, because she supported The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), when Bernie was against it?
You support Hillary, because she endorsed the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), while Bernie is against it?
You support Hillary, because she came out in support of same-sex marriage in 2013 (after more than a decade of opposing it), while Bernie has been an advocate for the LGBT community and supported gay marriage for over a decade?
You support Hillary, because she worked for Barry Goldwater, while Bernie was marching behind Martin Luther King and went as far as getting arrested during a civil rights protest?
You support Hillary, because she used-to-be for Universal Healthcare in 1993 and 1994, after recently speaking out as if Bernie was against it, while he was standing right behind her in FULL support?
You support Hillary, because she's worth hundreds of millions of dollars and takes money from super-PACS, Wall Street and Fossil Fuel industries with special interests and favors to payback that go against the best interests of middle-class Americans?
You support Hillary, because she doesn't know how to operate a computer and her incompetence put our country's national security at risk, when she illegally used a personal email server at home for classified documents?
Only a fool would support a presidential candidate that's being investigated by the FBI.
We have a chance to elect a once-in-a-lifetime presidential candidate who actually represents the people, not the ones who exploit us.
It's time to vote with courage and common-sense. It's time to vote for Bernie Sanders."

(24,261 posts)I think we have clearly established on DU that any criticism of Clinton is rooted in a hateful, vile-filled cesspool of misogyny.
Come on, people...she didn't do it!
What "it" didn't she do?
Depends on what "it" is.
But she didn't do it, and even if she did, it doesn't matter, because..."YAWN!"
Secret surveillance footage of the America-hating secret society that makes up lies about the Clintons:

"YAWN!"

(53,475 posts)... she said it needs to be printed in a larger font before she'll support it again.
Well, she actually said she couldn't support it in its "present form" and font size is purely conjecture on my part. Could be she wants it printed on bond paper, or shown on PowerPoint slides. Anything but an email, I guess.

(786 posts)It by now.
DNC. MSM. Wallstreet. SuperPacs - she did not get anything on her own merit. So you can call her Madam President all you want". She didn't earn it. She had the path to the Presidency cleared for her.

(2,280 posts)Presidential, something Bernie will never be.

(786 posts)Super Pacs, WallStreet.....the widely held perception that the supposedly neutral DNC has really bent over backwards trying to crown her "Madame President". People who really love democracy don't like dynasties, regardless of whether they are Bush dynasties or Clinton dynasties.
She has stonewalled the FBI while being investigated for exposing the United States' Top Secret Intel all because of a private server that she set up in her basement against the rules and regulations in place for National Security. She did it to protect her "private e-mails" (more important to protect than top secret e-mails from and for the United States) and because it was easier than using the State Department System that had all of the best security suited for the post of a Secretary of State. This is Presidential?????????
She is on video lying so much a grade school child could recognize her lies. She is a professional flip flopper.
Her domestic policy is a wishy-washy third way compromise when people want a leader to push for more government action on minimum wage, single payer health care, free public education, family leave and child care.
Her economic policy favors detrimental to US labor and jobs being sent overseas.
Her friendly attitude toward drilling, fracking, and pipelines values the fossil fuel industry over the environment when the people's values put the environment and climate change over industry.
She is mistrusted on Wall Street and banking regulation because of her history, her sponsorship.
She stands with private prisons, the death penalty, and marijuana criminalization when people want reform and her weak-as-dishwater campaign,
She is extremely unpopular with independents and young Democrats who will all come together to make her a historically weak candidate. Her undeniable inability to unite the party,
Name Legislation any piece of legislation that has her name on it while she was a Senator?
Her foreign policy is of a hawkish neocon when people want a less interventionist foreign policy than Obama's and not more forced regime change followed by nation building where we interfered. She made a mess in Libya, Syria and Honduras.
She uses tighter security on her speech transcripts for Wall Street where she was paid $250,000.00 a pop, where she blamed consumers for the financial collapse caused by financial sector greed than she did on top secret information on National Security.
Hillary Clinton is Presidential? That is such a crock. She screwed up every position that she had or she did nothing in every position that she had.
People that support Hillary Clinton don't seem to value honesty, integrity, skills, dedication, middle class, working class, the poor, equal rights, civil rights.........they just seem to value "whatever Hillary says"

(24,261 posts)I thought it was a conventional approach to a conventional target. It made her base swoon but basically did nothing to damage Trump.
And no, I did not think "Madam President!"

You fail to notice the majority of people selected Clinton and they seem okay with that. The voters have spoken, it's over, queue the band and let fly the streamers and balloons.
