Clinton's harsh response to Trump's judge comments - in interview with @abc7elex:
Trump, while campaigning in San Diego, devoted a large chunk of his speech to a lawsuit against Trump University and called out the California federal judge presiding over the case.
"The trial is going to take place sometime in November. There should be no trial. This should have been dismissed on summary judgment easily," Trump said. "Everybody says it, but I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. Hes a hater. His name is Gonzalo Curiel. And he is not doing the right thing, and I figure what the hell, why not talk about it for two minutes."
At the rally, Trump said he believes Curiel is "Mexican," and noted his appointment by President Obama, claiming that Curiel has been "very hostile" toward him.
The judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican, which is great, I think thats fine, Trump said. You know what? I think the Mexicans are going to end up loving Donald Trump when I give all these jobs,
OK?

(7,299 posts)2. Trump is suggesting that a heritage test should apply to judges. He claims that a judge should
recuse himself because the judge is Hispanic and the he, Trump, is promising to build a wall. The guy is totally off his rocker. The only question that remains: Are enough American people off their rocker to elect this fool ?

Imagine the Rights response if a plaintiff complained that a judge in a church and state or abortion case was an evangelical?

(7,299 posts)9. Exactly, imagine if a Democrat suggested that Scalia (deceased) and Alito, both Roman Catholic
by faith, should have recused themselves on any abortion or reproduction case ? The religious persecution crowd on the Right would have exploded.
