Clinton and Obama will both be in New York on Wednesday!!! Game, set, match!

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/07/us/politics/obama-is-eager-to-hit-the-stump-for-hillary-clinton-and-shred-donald-trump.html?_r=0

The White House is in active conversations with Mrs. Clinton’s campaign about how and where the president would be useful to her, according to senior aides to Mr. Obama.

White House and Clinton campaign officials declined to pinpoint any timing for an endorsement. But Mr. Obama has scheduled a trip to New York on Wednesday to attend Democratic fund-raisers, placing him near Mrs. Clinton’s Brooklyn campaign headquarters the day after Tuesday’s balloting.

3. You may very well be correct. Bernie-ites hate Obama and last week they jumped onto Warren.

Their little world is shrinking.

admire Obama and are glad to have Hillary as their second choice but just hoped for more profound change more quickly. Let's not insult our own.

The Bernie followers who hate Obama are of course
* Some conservative Democrats.
* Likely most Republican malcontents and malicious cross-over spoilers.
* Some far-left anti-Democrats because Obama is moderate liberal, but not all.

These aren't our "own" and good riddance?

14. I think you also have some folks who are pro-Obama and anti-Clinton.

I don't know how many, but they do apparently exist. Given how similar they are in terms of policy positions, and given the likelihood that a Clinton Admin would operate in the same fashion as the Obama Admin has, all I can figure is those folks care more about style/personality than substance. Or they simply don't get how similar they are policy-wise.

How many of those folks exist (and how many of them choose not to vote for Clinton in November) will impact how easily Clinton wins. Clinton *should* win in an electoral college landslide, but time will tell if she does.

4. The two fundraisers are NOT in Brooklyn (neither is Hillary most days) and not for her.....

I was invited to both. There's a roundtable discussion for the DSCC, followed by a private dinner for the DNC.

Keep the reports coming!

are talking to one another, even now before the June 7 primaries. The public face of the campaigns is still campaigning. Behind the scenes, though, discussions are underway about how to unite the party against Donald Trump.

It wouldn't surprise me, either, if President Obama has communicated with the Sanders campaign as well. We'll begin to see the results of all those discussions soon, perhaps even on Wednesday, but certainly after the June 14 DC primary.

Things are about to change in the Democratic presidential campaign. I'm ready for those changes. More than ready.

It's time to begin our own discussions about unity here on DU, too.
