(9,263 posts)And all the history that would be changed today if Nader supporters voted gore...it's unimaginable how much better America and the world be....but ego overrode intelligence then

(236 posts)Nader voters did not defeat Gore.
A republican controlled election system in Florida and a politicized supreme court did.
I would rather have a healthy third party than a non-democrat trying to usurp the democratic party nomination

(236 posts)His leadership in the Green Party allowed it to get a 5% vote and remain a third party through several election cycles. I voted for him. But I also knew Illinois went reliably Democratic and Gore would win my state.
What is your point? Did Bush win NH? Did Nader? The election is not decided by the national popular vote but by the majority vote in each state and its number of members in the electoral college. Whoever gets the majority of delegates to the electoral college wins. Did Nader cause Bush to win your state? If not, his presence on the ballot was irrelevant.
Bernie is doing everything he can to prevent a democrat from winning the white house. And it is only because he is not a democrat. Why is he better than Nader? Nader never espoused to be a democrat which is why he ran as a third party candidate. I would have had more respect for Bernie if he had actually run as an independent.

(55,981 posts)You are one of the many, many new Hillary posters here at DU. I've seen a hundred but none have given a cent.

(11,605 posts)I think I am going to make myself a bumper sticker that says "Bernie has my heart. Hillary has my vote." Kind of a reprise of a similar button/sticker I made in 2008 for Hillary supporters. It sucks being on the losing end this time.

(236 posts)You are in it for the money, just like Bernie. Why hasn't he released his tax returns, at the same time he castigates Hilary for her speeches? And what about his $600,000 to fly 10 members of his family to Italy on youralls contributions?

(11,605 posts)I have been posting on this forum for over 10 years, before I even opened my store. I don't know you at all and don't believe we have ever communicated on here. But yet you know me well enough to know my motives for posting here.
BTW, in 2008, I donated some of the money I made from my unity buttons to Hillary after the election to help her pay off debt.

(236 posts)Well I just received my cross-stitched pillow " A Woman's Place is in the White House". It will be a collector's item and a great legacy for my three daughters (one of whom is a Bernie supporter).
I am so thrilled, as a woman who has always excelled in male dominated fields (math and Law) to see a woman finally win the primary nomination!!!!
