Why? Because if he were, both he and she would want it to be a big event with a huge cheering crowd. No such plans are in place from what I hear.

Obama has always come across as incredibly gracious. He won't wait forever, but he'll certainly give Bernie a few days to come to terms with reality.

Obama's job in this election is to help stitch the party back together once the primary ends. If he jumps in before that he'll waste his opportunity.

That doesn't mean he won't state the obvious--that she won--but he'll probably save the endorsement for a different news cycle.
