Related: About this forumAre we STILL doing this idiotic 'supers don't vote till July' NONSENSE???
Good GAWD I wish people would cut this crap out. No delegates vote till July. Why the everloving HELL they would switch to Bernie after he called the entire PARTY Corrupt has never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever been explained. Ever. They DO NOT LIKE HIM!!! Can y'all get that through your heads? Cant just force people who cannot stand you to switch to support you just cause you say you can beat Trump. Nobody CARES what he says about the polls with him vs Trump. This is past the point of ignorance. This is deliberate dumbassery.

(25,428 posts)endorsed Obama well before the convention in 2008. At that point, his entire argument went out the window, and he just looks like a hypocrite.
And by "understand the motivation", I don't mean that I agree with it, only that I understand how some could see how the delegate process works and (wrongly) conclude that nothing happens in the primary process until the convention. Craziness at the convention is the seldom exception, of course, and certainly not the rule. It's usually just a coronation, to steal one of their favorite words.

(9,067 posts)The super delegate system may not be your cup of tea, but Bernie spent 30 years as an independent - but not contributing to the party. As supers are mostly colleagues, he started off behind. He personally pissed off most of the Democrats in Congress.
Then, they let him use the Democratic name to run for President. He responded by attacking the DNC and suing the DNC - after an investigation showed his staff stole data.
Then he complained or sued about half the state voting processes, and openly complained about the DNC Chair picked by President Obama. Then he criticized Obama.
All those DNC folks are also super delegates.
Now he wants the SDs to join his side??? Even SDs sympathy to his message don't like Bernie!

My god have I enjoyed your posts this primary.
Bernie started some nonsense about Hillary needs a majority of delegates (SD+PD) using only pledged delegates. That's gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard...wait that's not true...I did listen to a quarter of a Bernie speech once. Thankfully, CNN cut back to real news after a few minutes.

Also remember that pledged delegates in most states are not pledged.
There is no requirement that anybody vote for anybody. They're just like superdelegates.
