Hillary's Premature Victory

I supported Bernie Sanders while fully aware that Hillary Clinton was the likely primary victor. My hopes were tempered by reality. Today I wake to discover that the corporate press has found it necessary to suppress the voting in today’s primary elections. There was no other reason for the timing except voter suppression. I have long been questioning the Democratic Party in its alignment with my progressive principles, in spite of the fact that I was a Democrat as a twinkle in my Daddy’s eye. In spite of the fact, I have been an elected central committee member and more as an activist Democrat.

Though, the DNC supposedly asked the press not to do this. Perhaps, the AP wanted to be the first to declare the anointed one the nominee. Did they want to beat MSNBC, who had a plan to suppress the vote in California, to the punch? I have strong doubts that this was done without the support of the powers that be.

I am not a “Bernie or Bust” proponent. I find it absurd that those who support the policies that drive them into the Sander’s camp would help to give the Presidency to whiny b**ch Trump. Unfortunately, the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign is doing little or nothing to hold on to these people.

I will vote for Hillary Clinton in the GE. I will not enjoy it, but what else is new? I voted for Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama. I was not thrilled with Clinton, particularly the second time. We let them steal it from us when Al Gore ran, perhaps Kerry’s loss as well. Barack Obama swept the nation but, his need to concede to those who would only harm him and this country was disappointing, but it didn’t stop me from voting for his reelection.

It is clear Democratic Party establishment thrives in Hillary Clinton’s premature nomination thanks to the super delegates whose power supersedes that of the voters.

I think it may be not that far from the truth, but without all the votes it is only a campaign tool, and caucus states are not included in the count.

It is hard enough to get people to vote when there is a possibility of making a difference. When they are told their vote won't matter it does not encourage Hillary or Bernie voters to take the time and the energy.
