(8,582 posts)Saying Romney camp believes they will win NC. With the early voting Romney is going to need quite a percentage of the vote on election day to win NC.

(3,183 posts)NC is looking mighty fine right now in the early vote.

(25,415 posts)Could make the state a true toss up on election day coming down to every last vote.

(12,011 posts)In Colorado, it doesn't really matter if the Democratic edge is -2 compared to +2 in 2008 with early voting, because Obama won by 9 points. But in North Carolina, Obama won by a fraction of a point, and even the slight dropoff in early voting from 2008 could flip the state back to red. I would love to win NC but if I had to put money on it I would give it to Romney. But I would love to be wrong. Luckily we don't need it...it was icing on the cake in 2008.

(24,146 posts)iirc, there are more unaffiliated voters here than either registered democrats or republicans, although the republicans hold a slight registration advantage over dems.
