This time 8 years ago Barack Obama

was named the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee in a race much closer than this one. I remember a lot of folks on DU being just fine with that call. No one was blaming the media of conspiracies, no one thought Obama was head of some all-powerful media influencing cabal and the Super D's were a thing of beauty.

It's amazing how 8 years can make such a difference in how some of the Democratic stalwarts on DU react.

how much difference was one night going to make? Do you really believe that Bernie is going to win 67% of all the races tonight and DC next week? Do you truly believe all the Super D's were going to go against the voters will and name him the nominee?

That's not very likely to happen.

See a Clinton Supporter explained it to me. Take letters FBI 6 2 9 Since F = 6 letter to number and it is first letter we get 6 + 1 = 7
then we have B = 2 now we take 2 plus 3 because FBI is 3 letters and B is second letter in FBI 2 + 3 = 5. And since we used first letter already as 1 we get 15 and since I = 16 and it has 2 letters before it in FBI we get 16 + 2. Put them all together we have 7 15 16

7 = G
15 = O
18 = P

That proves the the FBI = GOP

I wasn't too happy, as a Hillary Supporter that night 8 years ago...

However, I understood what was at stake in the bigger picture, and threw ALL of my support behind Sen. Obama, and that worked out wonderfully. Pres. Obama--2 time President.

Now, here it is 8 years later, and I'm a happy camper nearing the end of the Dem Primaries

I know you're not.

I will readily admit that I'm not too happy with the AP's calling Hillary the Presumptive Dem nominee, because I'm pretty sure Hillary would have wanted it to have happened "officially" via New Jersey.

But what's done is done unfortunately.

That's usually how it works. Very rarely does a primary come down to the wire like 08.
