I'll be the one that says it: If Bernie doesn't pull off CA, he should go ahead and suspend after DC

There's no path or argument to make at that point, aside from the indictment, which will happen with or without the Bernie campaign in full campaign mode.

Now if he wins CA, I still think he should stay in until the convention and see how the cards shake out.

Sorry, I know its not going to be popular but it is reality. It doesn't mean anything changes as far as the issues go or what you do with your vote.

I'm not going to avoid facts just to stay on the team. Like I said, the FBI gives two shits about campaigns. What they do would be all that matters without a win in CA. Bernie can hold his delegates, but he doesn't need to campaign everyday. Unless he wins CA.

It's an interesting state for Hillary to lose, if she loses it. Obviously, my opinion is much more liberal (no pun intended) than yours. But CA keeps him in the game, even if just barely.

that he could barnstorm. The fact that its a huge progressive stronghold doesn't hurt either. He could have either put all resources into NJ or CA. I'd agree that CA would give him the best chance to say this thing ain't over.

most pledged delegates, regardless of how California ends up, and that will be a tough argument to fight.

It is his choice if he wants to stay in until the convention, but objectively speaking, he doesn't have the votes.

What he does have is some leverage. In my view the peak of that leverage is right now. If he or his campaign decide to continue on to the convention, publicly attacking Hillary, and the DNC, I believe that leverage disappear.

My personal view is that regardless of how California finishes, in the next two weeks both campaigns will work to build bridges, and Bernie will use his leverage to influence the Hillary campaign, and the DNC with issues that are important to him.

We will see how it plays out

Seriously, all other issues aside, what does Bernie hope or stand to gain by staying in to DC?

His path was nonviable after NY, but even if he is living in a dream world himself, he can't possibly think he has any shot after tonight. So what is to be gained?

It hurts HRC if he stays in.
After taking such a whipping tonight, it's not like he has a strong voice within the party that must be listened to.

Other than just clinging to a glamorous lifestyle of being on TV every day and going on stages and listening to the adulation of fans, what else is there for him in staying in?

What's the harm in doing a few campaign stops in DC and letting them vote. i think we all know how thats going to turn out, but it lets him go out on his terms and fulfill his promise to campaign everywhere.

He has an event scheduled at RFK Stadium on Thursday that I hope he goes ahead with. People in that part of town don't get much attention from politicians despite being so close to the center of it all.
