The Associated Press is warning its reporters to stay vigilant after several received harassing messages from supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
Danny Spriggs, the AP's vice president for global security, said some reporters have received angry emails, social media messages and phone calls after the AP declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

(22,336 posts)This is not just stupid, it's counter-productive. Do they want to shred what influence Bernie still has? Do they want to eliminate his potential for influence over the next 4 to 8 years?
I don't think some people are getting it. Bernie absolutely can not possibly win at this point. It simply can't happen. Behaving in violent or aggressive ways just causes harm to Bernie's image, and therefore to his future influence. It is not at all helpful.

(28,270 posts)Many of them want Bernie to make a third party run with the Greens or on his own. So to disrupt the dem convention would be a good thing in their eyes.
