Fuck Ed Rendell. Just fuck that miserable son of a bitch.

Ed Rendell: Elizabeth Warren Not Qualified To Be Vice-President

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Former Governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell shot down any speculation that Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders could be Hillary Clinton’s choice for Vice-President as she prepares to take on Donald Trump in the Fall.

Rendell, during an interview with Rich Zeoli on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, said he didn’t think Warren, a first-term Senator from Massachusetts, has acquired enough government experience yet to be qualified.

“I think she will not pick somebody that she feels in her heart isn’t ready to be President or Commander-in-Chief. I think Elizabeth Warren is a wonderful, bright, passionate person, but with no experience in foreign affairs and not in any way, shape or form ready to be Commander-in-Chief. So, I don’t know who Secretary Clinton is going to pick, but it will be someone that if something happened to her in the first week in office, that person could step in and be President.”

As a reminder: by this standard, FDR, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama were not qualified for the presidency, either.

Oh, and did I say "Fuck Ed Rendell"? Just in case I forgot: Fuck Ed Rendell.

Of course, Rendell was a major Clinton advocate (and likely Veep pick for her) in 2008. Maybe he's still bitter about Obama's victory. Fuck him.

Had Bernie won (or if something happens between now and the Convention), she would have kicked ass as his VP.

But it would also have been pulling two Dem-caucusing people out of the Senate. Even taking Elizabeth away from the Senate might not be something we can afford, or any other currently sitting Senator/Rep.

He is a great example of the type of democrat we need to crowd out of this party. Glad he isn't holding any offices today.

Every other Clinton surrogate out there has been endorsing Warren as a possible VP choice. Maybe that's sincere; maybe it's just a tactical feint. But Rendell's just running his mouth and hurting the party; no one wants that.

Warren has been a millstone around the necks of the neoliberals and they would be ecstatic to put her in a ceremonial position where she will be both out of sight and out of mind.
