Related: About this forumClinton campaign is probably onto something with this whole unity thing

Earlier today, we told you about a hashtag movement that was more like a crawl. Voters trended #GirlIGuessImWithHer after realizing that with Hillary Clinton as the presumptive Democratic nominee for the presidency, a November ballot was going to feature only her or Donald Trump.
I reached out to the Clinton campaign to see how they wanted to respond to the reluctance of the users who got that tag trending. Of course, when I reached out, the now-infamous Delete your account. tweet went out, signaling that the Clinton campaigns social media team is using her presumptive nomination to really play ball. That alone could have been a response to the online backlash in and of itself, but spokesperson Zerlina Maxwell wrote back anyway. Heres what she said:
We know we need to work hard for every vote, but today were incredibly hopeful. People are going to see her continuing to speak out on the progressive issues they care about, and President Obama is a pretty solid co-sign. This isnt going to be an instantaneous process, but the contrast with Donald Trump is too great to keep progressives from uniting around the agenda we all share.
As more and more Republicans move to distance themselves from Trump, the Clinton campaign is probably onto something with this whole unity thing.

16,000,000 voters disagree with this assessment.
It's time to support the Democratic nominee here, or explore one's alternatives.

(5,737 posts)3. All Republicans aren't racists or crazy. Some really are good people with different beliefs.
But their leadership is completely insane - and racists. When they admit that what Trump says is racist, but still back him, they are just as racist as he is.

simply stay home. They are the sane ones.
