By refusing to say that he is still an active candidate for president, Sen. Bernie Sanders admitted that his campaign was all but officially over. When asked if he is still an active candidate for president, Sen. Sanders answered:
Well, let me say this. I am doing everything that I can and will continue to do everything that I can to make sure that Donald Trump does not become President Of The United States. I think this man in a dozen different ways is not fit to become president. I think the idea that he is running a campaign based on bigotry. Insulting Mexicans, Muslims, women, its hard to believe that is really happening in the year 2016. So I am going to do everything that I can to make sure that he is not elected President Of The United States.
I will be meeting with Sec. Clinton on Tuesday evening I believe, and we will be chatting about her campaign, and I simply want to get a sense of what kind of platform she will be supporting. Whether she will be vigorous in standing up for working families and middle class, moving aggressively in climate change, healthcare for all, making public colleges and universities tuition free, and after we have that kind of discussion we can determine whether or not we are going to have a strong and progressive platform I will be able to make other decisions.

I'm feelin' good from my head to my shoes
Know where I'm goin' and I know what to do
I tidied up my point of view
I got a new attitude

Shit like this is about what I'd expect to hear on this web site. But, enjoy it while you can. Not much time remaining.

(47,803 posts)When DU goes into echo chamber mode I'll fade away for a while because empty echo chambers bore me....Yeah, Clinton will get my "Stop Trump" vote....but nothing more than that.
But Bernie, the movement he represents and I aren't going anywhere in the long run, unless its decided to make DU a permanent echo chamber after the election.

(42,862 posts)... from what I hear, there are other competing websites toward which many here are migrating. I doubt you'll be "homeless" or isolated for very long, and you'll settle-in somewhere that makes you feel quite content.
Adios!

When you say "HRC infomercial" it seems as if you have a problem with this site's policy. I have no issues with the policy and the deadline that's been set. Do you?

Were there $250,000 speeches at the NRA convention?

(5,644 posts)and I'm glad to see a candidate pour everything that he has into a race that he believes in. They (Democrats as well as Republic0ns) have been trying to push Bernie out for awhile now. And, in the end, I believe Bernie will do everything that he can to help Hillary win the election.
