1. I honestly wonder if it's possible to do well and do quickly.

We would do well to get beyond this before November if there's not going to be any charges, but from what I read there may be so much material to review that an expedited investigation might not be thorough enough to assure voters that it was properly conducted.

It is a cluster*uck any way we look at it.

2. Quickly - Thoroughly - Inexpensively... You can only pick two, the third is mutually exclusive.

.

The other version is

You want it done quick, you want it done right, you want it done cheap: Pick two of the three.

When CD has gone so far down the Emailgate rabbit hole that they get in bed with Robert Gates, their cause is lost.

A good example of intellectual cowardice.

4. They should have just used the last paragraph... the rest was opinion and revealed their bias.

"We strongly urge you to order Attorney General Loretta Lynch to instruct FBI Director James Comey to wind up a preliminary investigation and tell the country now what they have learned. By now they – and U.S. intelligence agencies – have had enough time to do an early assessment of what classified data, programs and people have been compromised. Realistically speaking, a lengthier, comprehensive post-mortem-type evaluation – however interesting it might be, might never see the light of day under a new president."

8. I've only read half of the story

and am saving the rest for reading on my break this afternoon at work. But this:

In January, the Department of State announced that, of the 30,000 work-related emails, at least 1,340 contained classified material. The Department retroactively classified 22 of those TOP SECRET and prevented their release. Among the 22 were some that, according to media reports, included information on highly sensitive Special Access Programs (SAP).

Puts it quite succinctly. If that was all there is, it would be enough--but there's more. She said they were personal emails; they were in fact classified and 22 were TOP SECRET!

I don't know what Special Access Programs are. Can anyone elaborate?

This is such an outrage. That we would even consider someone like this for any type of job in government would be crazy; here it's president of the United States!!

The rest of the world must think we're crazy.

Words matter. That one is in your excerpt.

"She said they were personal e-mails"

No:

"work-related emails"

Also in your excerpt. The work-related and personal e-mails are two different issues.

10. Shouldn't Hillary be supporting this? After all, if everything she did was allowed and above-board,

it would benefit her greatly to be cleared of wrongdoing in this matter. So when is she going to tell the government to put up or shut up about her emails?
