Sanders aides not expecting campaign suspension Tuesday

Bernie Sanders is not poised to suspend his campaign or immediately endorse presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton after their meeting Tuesday night, but he intends to keep his pledge to help defeat Donald Trump, two people close to Sanders told CNN.

Tuesday marks the final primary contest as Democrats in Washington, D.C., vote.

The Democratic candidates are planning to meet Tuesday night, and a person close to Sanders said, "It should be amicable and hopefully constructive."

Is his public presence of whether he goes after Clinton or not.

Nobody cares if he concedes, the primary is obviously over. That is a fact.

Whether or not he helps or hurts the general campaign matters. If he helps, fine; if he's neutral, fine; if he attacks Clinton or Democrats, he's awful.

In a news statement.

He didn't say "fight for the nomination" but made it clear he's going to keep fighting for the principles he ran on.

I say good.

There's too much at stake. Anyway, Sanders owes a large duty, a responsibility, and a debt to the Democratic Party. No one could stop him from walking away from all of them, but it wouldn't be okay.

"Opening" the Democratic Party is being mentioned, yet the party has always been wide open to anyone who wants to join. So the idea of "opening" primaries even further to hostile takeovers from outsiders coming in to overset the votes of the Democratic Party membership? Absolutely not.

I was for open primaries until this election--naively. Now I believe they should all be closed. The shockingly large and widespread anti-Democrat corruption of our primary was a wake-up call. What happened this year should never be allowed to happen again.

We can serve our democratic principles well by allowing registration in the party right up to the last week or so--however close will allow proper checking to avoid significant voter fraud.

Maybe he meant to say when everyone else does, including Republicans, like Hillary said about her transcripts. But it doesn't matter anyway. There has never been a requirement to provide them. Romney didn't. If you think he's hiding anything, don't vote for him.

In any case, he very clearly said he would release them during the primary. That ends today.

He should concede now, as Hillary did in 2008, 2 days after the last primary -- not wait till the convention.

But if he remains in the election then he should honor his promise to release multiple years of his full returns.

Mitt released two full years, which is one more year than Bernie.

I have also noticed that pretty much every late night comedian has made jokes about him, and it will only get worse. He will be a totally laughing stock in a few more weeks.
