3. Interesting fact. . . the DNC hasn't even declared Hillary as their nominee. Why should Bernie?

withholding his support against Trump means he gets zero credit for defeating Trump, and thus gives him no standing to demand anything or to play a major role after the election.

6. Assuming for a moment that he doesn't endorse Clinton, he'd probably still make the argument

that he helped defeat Trump since he's been speaking out against him more and is likely to continue to do so.

Sanders could say that he just did it, pardon the pun, independently.

As I posted elsewhere, it's an interesting tightrope he's walking. He's running the risk of whatever political capital he built up this cycle being drowned out by the focus on the general election and the solidarity of the rest of the party - and much of the public - against Trump.

ignored in 2017.

Single-payer via big bang legislation is not the vehicle for healthcare reform. The work the Roosevelt Institute is doing on regulating the financial circles is several cycles ahead of his bromides about banks.

It's an irony missed by a lot of people that Clinton's policy recommendations are a lot more forward looking than Sanders's, which are mostly that old time religion from the left-wing hymnal.

7. Exactly. I'm looking forward to being able to say, "We did it without you!" when Bernie tries to

take credit. I'll shut that down faster than a Bernie Sanders attempt to co-opt a Latino festival stage.
