Related: About this forumTrump Is So Toxic That Even Members Of His Own Party Would Rather Vote Hillary
He doesn't appear to be sane.A top official in the George W. Bush administration has become the most prominent Republican to endorse Hillary Clinton for president.
Richard Armitage, who was Bushs deputy secretary of state during his first presidential term, told Politico in an article published Thursday that Trump doesnt appear to be a Republican, he doesnt appear to want to learn about issues. So Im going to vote for Mrs. Clinton.
Armitage, who also served under President Ronald Reagan, isnt the first Republican to throw his support behind Clinton.
Arne Carson, the Republican former governor of Minnesota, told CityPages on Wednesday that no human being in history has been more vetted than Clinton while Trump has taken campaigning to a new low.
Mike Treiser, a former Mitt Romney staffer, said that in the face of bigotry, hatred, violence, and small-mindedness, this time, Im with her.
As conservative writer Ben Howe put it, I am a fiscal conservative and I am a social conservative. That will not change. But I will not vote for an egomaniacal authoritarian. Nope.
Other Republicans havent gone as far as endorsing Clinton, but have said they cant support Trump either. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan (R) is one of them.

(45,850 posts)2. Lol it's Arne Carlson not Arne Carson
he was a 1 term governor who was succeeded by Jesse Ventura and won only because he claimed to be pro-choice when his dem opponent was somewhat pro-life only to roll that pro-choice thing up tight and proclaim himself pro-life right after being elected

She supports a lot of republican ideas. Fracking, free trade, war, regime change, no single payer, private prisons, etc. I know she has "evolved" on some issues, but that is just to get votes. I mean come on. She is the stereotypical political. Says one thing, than does the opposite.

The cited link goes to a story about the confederate flag. Which also sort of has to do with Trump, not surprisingly.
