Wasserman Schultz challenger Tim Canova hits $2 million mark

Tim Canova, the first-time political candidate challenging U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, said Thursday he's now raised more than $2 million for his campaign.

Canova has taken in an average of $12,680 a day since entering the race in January.

My uncle, god bless his memory, lived in Century Village, right smack in the middle of DWS' district. Hillary won it 70-30. It is heavily Jewish, Hispanic, and African American. It was made to order for her.

This is how any Democrat wins a state wide race in FL; roll up huge margins in South Florida*, be competitive in Central Florida, and mitigate his or her losses in North Florida.

If it was a high turnout general election Rick Scott never beats Charlie Crist.

I will go on to predict Patrick Murphy picks up Marco Rubio's Senate seat, whether Rubio runs or not.

6. I'm following the race. I like Canova. I like his way of funding his campaign. But

in FL, one of the most corrupt states in the country, where the voting machines are definitely not reflective of the real sentiment of the people or their actual votes, I don't give him good odds to win. If Tim can get an accurate vote count, one that pretty much agrees with the unadjusted exit polls, he will win, I believe.

But that's a big BUT, a very very big BUT.

10. DWS wins handily because the demographics overwhelmingly favor her.

Sad to see people waste their money on such a quixotic mission...The money would be better spent on food banks or what not or competitive Democratic races.

It was made for DWS.

What a colossal waste of time and resources.

Bernie-inspired fundraising didn't help Lucy Flores (NV-4).
