BERNIE SANDERS: Almost 7,000 of my supporters just signed up to run for office
Bernie Sanders has inspired thousands of supporters to express interest in running for political office.
After the Vermont senator made an impassioned plea to his supporters during a Thursday-night webcast to carry the "political revolution" forward, his campaign released a statement claiming that nearly 6,700 of his people said that they'd be interested in seeking elected office. The supporters went to a portal on Sanders' campaign website, BernieSanders.com/win, and signed up to receive more information about running at the local or state level. The campaign said that roughly 11,000 expressed interest in either running or volunteering to help other Sanders supporters run. http://www.businessinsider.com/bernie-sanders-supporters-2016-6

7. In the weeks and months leading up to the California Primary, I was getting campaign crap
in the mail from all the state candidates running for office. There were at least 10 or more running for every office and everyone of them's Glossy brochure read like a who's who in politics. These people have all held public office before, half are veterans, most have stellar backgrounds with 20-30 years of working experience, graduated from top schools, etc. If Bernie thinks just because some pot-smoking 20-something who came to one of his rallies once and 'felt the Bern' is going to go out there next week and decide to run for public office and think that he/she suddenly has a snowball chance in Hell of leap frogging over all these career people who have had their lives planned out since they ran for Student Government in High School, than good luck with that. Bernie himself was 40 or more before he himself got a real job. What makes him think his youthful crowd who's only responsibility thus far has been to themselves are the foot soldiers to which he is counting on to carry out his revolution. Good luck with that.

9. This is something people here should celebrate.
And yet a couple folks have already shat on it.
Just when I think it can't get any worse, they surprise me yet again. They say we're supposed to fight from the bottom up and when we do, they still are disgusted. Genuineness is absent. |

10. They got what they wanted, HRC is going to make everything ok for them. They can
Just sit back and relax, the only thing left "they" need to do is vote for "her". And the world is going to be a better place, because she will be in charge...unicorns, rainbows and all. (Sarcasm)

Cheers to you!

13. Expressing interest is easy, but actually running is hard
I'm not surprised that thousands of people expressed interest.
