REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Accusing Democratic leaders of "raping the American people" has no business being anywhere on DU. Please vote to hide this!

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Jun 19, 2016, 11:40 AM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Another post from fantasy-land from a die-hard Sanders supporter.

ENOUGH ALREADY!
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This has to be a troll....and it looks like this was not an original post but a copy-and-paste. Hide it!
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It does not accuse Democratic leaders of "raping the American people". Sometimes a sentence and words have more than one meaning. No one held down and actually raped the american people. Politicians, Democrats included have certainly curtailed out freedoms and liberties.. It should be a warning to DU and DUers if something like this is hidden based on how you wrongly interpret that phrase.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Might qualify for a hide tomorrow, but not today.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

The owners of this site make money from the discussions here. It seems to me the more discussion the more money goes into their pockets and maintaining the site. If they decide to purge all the people and posts that you don't like, that's their decisions and I have no problem with that at all. It doesn't hurt my pocketbook.

You post at JPR and don't know the rules?

here, allow me:

David Brock (noted "former" Conservative and enabler of Clarence Thomas' sexual harassment) has announced that he's spending a million bucks on Internet trolls to combat disloyalty towards Hillary Clinton. To combat this crap, we have a new rule: henceforth, any speculation about Bernie possibly not winning the Democratic nomination must be phrased as follows: "If Hillary and her DNC steals the election, and if Hillary is not indicted for the obvious criminally jeopardizing of national security by using a personal mail server as SOS to evade FOIA, then..."

This not only captures the truth, it's something that a Brock-troll won't write, of course.

Failure to use this phrasing or something very close when speculating that Bernie might not win the nomination will result in a deleted post. The second time it happens, the poster will be banned.

Sun Jun 19, 2016, 04:16 PM
Jun 2016

the cracks recently, but when 2.0 comes online the next couple of weeks that will go back into effect.

But here are the rules I found:

Exclamation New Rules For JackpineRadicals
As of right now, discussion on how certain sites that are trying to silence Senator Bernie Sanders, his campaign and his supporters, is fair game.

Many sites that call themselves "liberal," "progressive" and/or "Democratic" that have followed the edict that after the March 15, 2016 primary, Senator Bernie Sanders will be treated as less than a candidate, may be discussed on JackpineRadicals.org

These sites are doing the same as most of the mainstream media and the DNC. Because of that, they should be treated equally to the aforementioned organizations and corporations. These third-way attacks on our republic, our process, on free speech, on independent voters and on the left of the Democratic party, must be called out.

That said, in order to keep this site different from other sites, and to make it a more welcoming place to visit for like minded individuals, personal attacks and unsubstantiated insults will not be allowed.

1. Absolutely no calling out of any member of any site in a negative manner.
2. Stay away from the minutia and the emotional.

Some suggestions:

1. Stay away from ad hominem: Attacking the character or motives of a person rather than the an expressed idea.

2. If you have been mistreated on another political website, please refrain from continuing the dispute
here. If you believe that you were unfairly attacked and the attack is something others should be made
aware of, please keep your information factual and backed up with evidence. The moderators and site
owners reserve the right to disagree with your perspective and may ask for you to edit or delete your
comment or post. If you are asked to edit your comment or post, or if there is a deletion, this is in no
way implying that you were incorrect in your assessment, only that a larger difficulty is being
avoided.

I hope this helps.. They are hard rules to follow.

thinking. I am sure a lot of other people have no problem with what Bernie was called before he even had his first nation news coverage. I think it was like Bernie had 2% of the coverage that Hillary had, but that is ok with a lot of people. Now one cares what an old white man says anyway. You can tell by his press coverage.

What brought people to Bernie was his ideas not him. He even says that. Now most candidates want their names out there in front of everything. Even though Bernie co authored a lot of bills, you will not find his name on many, just not his thing.

I wonder if Pres. Obama would have brought up about increasing Social Security benefits if Bernie's followers had not been for it.

I know, the case can be made that only direct arguments can sway the GOP but...no, that's not how self-destructive fanatics work.

Whenever Obama has made such an offer, it has never been accepted. I won't pretend to know what's going on in his head but I don't think he would cut SS, he only makes the suggestion when his political instincts -which so far have been pretty damned accurate- tell him it won't be accepted.

It's a way to sway the one to three percent of 'reasonable' GOP-ers away from the GOP. And hopefully being more entertaining of Democratic Party ideas.
