Sheesh. The Florida Democratic Party keeps delivering dud after dud in statewide races:
- 2010: Alex Sink loses gubernatorial race to Rick Scott by around 60k votes. For the Senate, Marco Rubio wins because Democrats are split between Democrat Kendrick Meek and Republican-turned-independent Charlie Crist.
- 2012: At least Sen. Bill Nelson won re-election with 55% of the vote.
- 2014: Rick Scott wins re-election, again by around 60k votes. The Democratic candidate? Charlie Crist, the former Republican and independent.
- 2016: Patrick Murphy, the ex-Republican who is the Democrats' frontrunner for Rubio's Senate seat who has Obama's backing, is now exposed as puffing up his resume:
A CBS4 News investigation into Murphys history as both a CPA and a self-described small business owner, however, shows Murphy has in some cases exaggerated his experience and in other instances made claims that were misleading or outright false.
For instance, he has never worked a day in his life as a Certified Public Accountant.
What the hell is going on with the Democratic Party in that state? Oh, don't forget about Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who finally is getting a relevant primary challenger in Tim Canova.
