Russ Feingold endorses Hillary Clinton




MADISON, Wis. — Democratic Wisconsin Senate candidate Russ Feingold is endorsing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for president.

Feingold announced the endorsement in a statement Thursday, saying she won a hard-fought campaign and made history. He says it's clear she's ready to take on Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.

Feingold is running against Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who supports Trump for president but says that's different from endorsing him. .......................................

A Marquette University Law School this month showed Trump trailing Clinton in Wisconsin by 9 points among likely voters........................

To me it means two things:
1. She is not resting on any laurels. She continues to fight for the White House, taking nothing for granted.
2. Building a political tidal wave means that the endorsements keep coming and building, and others around can get swept up in the growing and visible enthusiasm.
