2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIt's to the good of the party, and of HRC as a candidate, for the Sanders movement to continue.
The Sanders campaign is now for all practical purposes over. The Sanders movement goes on, and should go on.
This movement has harnessed a lot of energy, and restored the belief in political action for a large group of previously alienated people. No one who wants progressive change has any reason to see either of these developments as anything but positive.
What we have fought for and will continue to fight is complimentary to the cause of building support for HRC, and just as importantly, support for Democratic gains in the House and Senate in. And the issues we champion are complimentary to HRC's agenda, because it is still necessary to make sure that the fight for economic justice(a fight that involves making life better for all of us)is given a priority just as strong as the fight(a fight we all always supported, primary rhetoric to the contrary) for a society free of instutional bigotry.
Be happy that the commitment continues and that the energy and enthusiasm will be part of the election and of what happens after the election. Nothing but good comes of this.

(37,428 posts)...to have a candidate still stumping for the change we need so badly, beyond what conventional wisdom tells us is pragmatic. I think he is badly needed to help offset the lowering of the bar accomplushed by Trump's mere presence.

(19,060 posts)It's for the good of the party and the people for Bernie to continue to fight for his policies. However, this continued campaign cannot be all about attacks on Hillary, she is our candidate and she needs our support.

(740 posts)...during his last speech he didn't mention Hillary once.
I think he's done talking about the primaries and is moving on to the GE; he can't just 'steer' his supporters like a car so I think he's trying to help as many of them as he can transition. The faster he 'turns', the more people 'fall out'.
The endorsement will come when it comes. Trying to 'force' him to endorse wouldn't give us a real endorsement.
And I agree with the premise of the OP; his issues all things that are important to me as well.
