Sanders edging closer to Clinton in slow California vote count

--snip

Ensuring accurate count

Tulchin, who works from San Francisco, is no stranger to vote counting in California, but months of tracking primaries for the Sanders campaign have given him a new perspective.

“When you see how (vote counting) is done in 49 other states, you have to ask why (California’s delays) should be normal,” he said. “It’s ridiculous.”

But Padilla, a former state senator who was elected secretary of state in 2014, sees California’s weeks-long count as a good thing, both for voters and for the state.

A speedy vote count “is going to continue to be a challenge for a big state like California,” he said. “I’ve seen it from both sides, as a candidate and as secretary of state, and I’d rather take some more time to get (the vote count) right.”

remaining ballots are exclusively Sanders. They aren't, and the delta to increases among the candidates point that Sanders won't be able to catch up

Regardless it will not change the fact that Hiilary will end up with the most pledged delegates, and most votes. That is why she is the presumptive nominee

This isn't rocket science

Day after the election it looked like about a 12% win for Clinton, and it now sits at about 9%, so this is not really anything noteworthy.

What's the hurry for conceding?

It's not as if Hillary's campaign is depending on Bernie to concede before the vote count is completed.

I don't understand the rush?

The UK voted on and counted Brexit votes in less than a day. Cali needs to speed it the hell up and Sanders needs to get off the pot.

ballots remain to be counted. Most are provisionals. The fat lady is singing. Bernie ran a great race now it's time to support the Dem. nominee and Dems up and down the ballot.

Unlike Hillary and Barack, or Barack and Joe Biden, it is impossible to imagine Hillary and Bernie working closely together as a team.
