The Democratic primaries are officially over—and Hillary Clinton is now the first woman to top a major party's presidential ticket.

The road to the nomination has taken Hillary to nearly every state in the union and given her the chance to meet Americans from all walks of life. From her first trip to Iowa to the night she secured the nomination in Brooklyn, here are some of the most memorable moments from the campaign trail to date.


September 21, 2015: Marquis Boston is a Little Rock, Arkansas, native and former janitor who works two jobs—seven days a week—as a collections agent and a hotel switchboard operator. But when Hillary announced she was running for president, he decided to do whatever it took to help out. By cutting back on expenses from groceries to haircuts, Marquis saved enough to donate $1,000 to Hillary's campaign. And she got a chance to say thank you—in person.
