Hillary Clinton Offers Student Debt Deferral to Those Who Need it Most: Startup-Launching Americans

Well this is certainly better than offering free public schooling or doing something tangible about student loan debt.

Hillary Clinton has a bold plan to ensure the bright future of every hardworking American who has the considerable resources required to start his or her own company: three years of student debt deferrals, for every single startup founder. Wonderful news for our striving technocrat class—they need all the help they can get.

Maybe an app that tracks the student debt of everyone not lucky enough to have the friends and family network to raise capital for a startup.

I've long thought that such professions need subsidies to encourage people to educate themselves for careers in those and other areas. Perhaps that's something to work toward more diligently.

Do you have any idea how few people can get 30K from family?

Some of us had to work as kids to support our younger siblings instead.

As in loophole wide enough to drive a truck through it? Why would we even consider this? Now every kid with a laptop will be doing a startup for the loan deferral. Oh, well. It's just a deferral, so about all is does is allow students to dig themselves in deeper. I hope this plan goes nowhere, or at least gets modified along the way. Some good ideas begin as bad ideas. We'll see about this one.
