Jill Stein claims Obama is "Bush on steroids." IOW, much worse than George W.

One more reason no real progressive should consider supporting her.

"We had Bush and all the terrible things under Bush. Then we had Obama, even with the Democratic Congress in both houses for two years. And what did we get under Obama? It was Bush on steroids."

This was during an interview with truthout last year. I'd link it but nobody will read it anyway. I've discovered that once a meme is set, it's impossible to break through.

But yeah, whistleblower prosecution is another area.

Drones too I'd guess.

Deportations unquestionably.

I really like Obama and would vote for him again if I could but I've never been one to put any politician on a pedestal, blind to flaws.

to be running for president.

Either that or she's working with the repugs as that's one of their inaccurate talking points.

And what is with this Green Party hubris that makes them think that they should run for the highest office in the land without beginning with local, statewide and Congressional offices?

You only hear about them ever 4 years, and when you do, all you hear is them attacking the Democrats, not the repugs.

for consumer protection generally before enabling Bush II's selection. See, e.g., Nader's Raiders http://www.pophistorydig.com/topics/naders-raiders-1968-1974/

It is a tragedy that he tarnished that legacy.

So far as I know, Jill Stein has never done anything for anyone except herself. On Valium she may be, but not as Nader.

If the Greens want to ever be taken seriously, they need to get rid of that Lexingtonian dilettante. She treats the party like her personal soap box and has for years.

The growth of the Green party--for those who really want to see a viable 3rd party come to the fore--has been horribly stunted by her iron-fisted control over it. She runs it like a fiefdom, and she's the queen. She controls access and agenda and serves as the spokesmodel for the franchise. Everything goes through her, and everyone else had best shut up.

I think a knock-down, drag-out fight for the leadership of that entity would do wonders for its viability. As long as she's in charge, it's a joke, basically. That may sound harsh, but it's also accurate.

59 days. That's the number of days the democrats controlled the Senate from the time the Franken seat was resolved and Kennedy died.

If she were so smart and savvy she would know that. How Bernie supports can consider voting for this hyperbole driven person is beyond me.
