“I am with her – the only progressive woman in the race,” said Cornel West.

“This November, we need change. Yet we are tied in a choice between Trump, who would be a neo-fascist catastrophe, and Clinton, a neo-liberal disaster. That’s why I am supporting Jill Stein.”

West, the renowned scholar and revolutionary, published an op-ed in The Guardian on Thursday in which he slammed the presidential candidates from both major parties, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and instead endorsed Jill Stein, the presidential candidate for the Green Party.

“Clinton policies of the 1990s generated inequality, mass incarceration, privatization of schools and Wall Street domination,” he wrote.

used his new celebrity after he was down to remind people of what he is capable of, but perhaps he is no longer. Extremism that grows until it overpowers intellect, building layer upon layer of delusion, is kind of like a brain cancer. With moves like this, it seems unlikely he will find his way back from the path his enmity toward Obama took him down.

I mean, it's one thing to not want Hillary because your ideology is very different, another to actually endorse a Jill Stein for President of the United States.

behavior is driven by implacable hostility and negativism. He is on a steadfast course to oblivion, only spoken of at all now because he managed to push himself briefly back into Sanders' spotlight.

This is a man who despises Barack Obama. In THIS nation, he despises the one leader broadly admired by a wide swath of the populace, who know he is trying to work for them, not against them and only for a few.

And the predictions of 'oblivion' never came to pass.

He disagrees with the Democrats ideologically because they have begun to embrace Republican economics, AKA neoliberalism, and I agree with him on that point.

Why do I? Because I am not a Republican.

Governor Bill Weld and Governor Mitt Romney.

Massachusetts apologizes to the entire nation.

They've started talking about Governor Baker. too.

I guess the idea is that, if a Republican can win Massachusetts, he can win the country. However, it's not that simple: our legislature has more than enough votes to override any gubernatorial veto it wishes. Over 90% Dem for years.

And they ran Coakley again. As soon as I heard that, I knew we were toast.
