2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTHERE WAS SOMETHING FUNNY ABOUT SCOTT BAIO’S R.N.C. SPEECH
Almost every fortune cookie becomes more amusing when you add in bed at the end. And almost every sentence in Scott Baios speech at the Republican National Convention on Monday nightbecomes more amusing when you add like my career at the end. Here are some favorite examples.
But for you first-time voters, its important for you to know what it means to be an American. It doesnt mean getting free stuff . . . like my career.
It means sacrificing. Winning. Losing. Failing . . . like my career.
And sometimes doing the things you dont want to do . . . like my career.
But, folks, our country right now is in a very bad spot . . . like my career.
Theres no stability . . . like my career.
Nothing seems right . . . like my career

The best news for Chachi is that Eastwood set the bar incredibly low for celeb speakers at the RNC

I'm surprised Rob Schneider didn't speak. He's blaming his career failures on being a Republican.

At least Chachi didn't speak to a chair as if it could understand.

(hell, I don't recognize him. Whatever stupid show he was on, I never watched it.)

(27,831 posts)9. Saw a few of the early shows, but the later episodes bored the he// out of me.
Don't remember seeing Chachi at all. Never was a serious fan of it--I preferred to spend my time studying calculus or chess rather than vapid TV shows. (yeah, I'm a colossal geek. Still occasionally pull my differential equations textbook out and work through problems in it........)

.
It's not that he sucks at acting and fellow Tea Bagger, Adam Sandler has to give him sympathy gigs.

Ah, the party of personal responsibility!
There are too many successful Republicans in Hollywood to be able blame career doldrums on one's party affiliation.
