Kaine is a DAMN GOOD CHOICE!

Like Hillary he's extremely experienced, ready to be President at a moment's notice if needed, is popular and from a purple swing state,
brings gender balance, is a good campaigner who has won elections at every level, is brilliant, and speak fluent Spanish having a good rapport with the Hispanic community.

GOOD SMART PICK!! GOOD STUFF!!

And just wait. He will pound the crud out of Donald The Prince Of Darkness and that rotten horrid THING they call Pence.

Why Sen. Kaine’s Español Is More Than Just A Spanish Speech

During his speech, the Virginia Democrat spoke of his decision to address the Senate in Spanish saying:

I think it is appropriate that I spend a few minutes explaining the bill in Spanish, a language that has been spoken in this country since Spanish missionaries founded St. Augustine, Florida in 1565. Spanish is also spoken by almost 40 million Americans who have a lot at stake in the outcome of this debate.

On Twitter supporters commended Kaine for his bold move. Ali Noorani, the executive director of the National Immigration Forum, wrote: "After so much talk about English proficiency, kind of awesome for @TimKaine to deliver his Senate floor speech on #immigration in Spanish."

Kaine’s proficiency in Spanish even drew praise, where one tweet read: “Tim Kaine’s Spanish is pretty good, guys.”

Honduras which is impressive that he kept it up!

2. He is fluent in Spanish

Kaine learned Spanish while living in Honduras in 1980. He took a year off from law school to work at a technical school with Jesuit missionaries.

In 2013, Kaine spoke in Spanish for almost 13 minutes on the floor of the Senate advocating for an immigration overhaul bill crafted by the bipartisan "Gang of Eight."

It marked the first time a senator gave an entire speech on the floor in a language that was not English, although others have spoken briefly in Spanish before.

That ability closes by the age of 12.

And yes, there are people who learn languages in later years and get more fluent-sounding.

Don't get me wrong. For living a year there, Kaine sounds pretty good. Hence, B, b-minus.

The ability to perceive these phonemic contrasts evidently persists for several more years, as evidenced by the fact that children can learn to speak a second language without accent and with fluent grammar until about age 7 or 8. After this age, however, performance gradually declines no matter what the extent of practice or exposure (Figure 24.2).

Some people have a natural talent for learning languages, some of my family included.

My grandpa immigrated from Italy at age 16, with a total of 3 years of education, yet he learned English and spoke it like a American. My mom learned Spanish in college and spoke Spanish like a South American.
