(3,284 posts)I think even Trump's supporters might think twice if they found out he was completely bought by Putin. It's absolutely terrifying.

(1,619 posts)It was a quiet but telling remark. Kaine said that Putin is the one person Traitor Trump likes.
Our guys know. This is going to break huge soon. We need to feel a lot of pride.

(3,284 posts)And specifically ask Trump if this is the reason he refuses to release his taxes. I hope they spell it out for the people who aren't making the link...

(5,807 posts)I hope so. Russia scares the old white folks who like Trump. We all had to go under our desks in school, so we learned to be scared of Russia at a very young age. Trump owes Russia? That will not play well with the old white bunch. Let's start mentioning that to our Trump supporting friends and relatives. A different better dead than red, right?
That's so true...I'm sure the old white hardcore Trump supporters have a lingering fear of Russia established when they were young.

(15,429 posts)He's maxed out his credit at Deutschebank and no other banks in the world will give him a penny based upon his history of bankruptcy. The only place left for capital to keep his business running is Russia.

(12,017 posts)No wonder he hatched the idea to run for president. No wonder his whole family are all hands on deck. No wonder he won't release his tax returns. No wonder his campaign manager and adviser have direct links to the Kremlin!

(12,017 posts)Trump is making it clear that, as president, he would allow Russia to advance its hegemonic interests across Europe and the Middle East. His election would immediately trigger a wave of global instabilitymuch worse than anything we are seeing todaybecause Americas allies understand that Trump would likely dismantle the post-World War II U.S.-created international order.

Page [Trump adviser], an energy expert, has close ties to Russian business and relationships with executives at Gazprom, the giant state-run gas company. Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has worked as a lobbyist for former Ukraines former Russia-aligned president, Viktor Yanukovych.
For Putin, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving. Shunned and sanctioned by western leaders for Russias aggression in Ukraine, Putin now sees a future ally riding into view. The Kremlin and its right-wing supporters also enthusiastically applaud the isolationist they see in Trump, who has suggested he might curtail U.S. involvement in NATO and European affairs, and who derides the same political mainstream that has deemed Putin a pariah.
