toss minority candidates to bigots as a casual tactic. The Southern Baptists he called his 'peeps' also hate LGBT, meaning he'd use that information against an LGBT candidate, he'd smear us to his 'peeps' to advance his own agenda. That's beyond the unacceptable. He showed a side of this Party I did not believe existed and it is not at all ok.

Carter was a Southern Baptist as was Gore. That said, the man who authored the email does need to go.

Bernie being an atheist would have been a big plus in my book. This country is way too zealous about religion.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

I, for one, have a harder time voting for people who's faiths are intolerant of gays than for other candidates. I am surely applying a religious test. Voters have that right.
